Why you should consider Cast Iron Golf Clubs
Back at the KZG Performance Center. I hope you got to see the video on the forgings which we are quite well known for. But we’re also very good at Cast Iron Golf clubs. Whereas most companies work their cast in 714 stainless steel which is quite brittle so they really can’t bend them up or down, with KZG we use 431 stainless steel.
It’s a much softer steel and we’re able to adjust the lies up or down 3 to 4 degrees. This is really important when you want to be fit properly. Just think about it — If the ball’s here you don’t want your club like that.
Anyway, we have a wide selection of cast heads which are very reasonable but we custom fit and custom build each one because that’s the most important part.
Here for example is the EC II. It’s a very nice perimeter-weighted; it’s designed for a better player — smaller, more compact head.
We also have the XCB which is probably the most popular universal head. It’s slightly larger, a nice stable sole and deep perimeter weighting so there’s a lot of forgiveness in this club.
And if you happen to be a beginner we have the HPS — or not even just a beginner; I shouldn’t categorize it because it also is great for someone who just has a mid to high handicap and they’re recreational players and they just want an easy game. This is the club because look at how nice and large the sole is. Look at the deep perimeter weighting and the big undercut. So you get a lot of forgiveness whether you hit out on the toe or mishit, you’re going to get a great result.
Last but not least — you know I told before that KZG has been working with the finest teachers and fitters from around the globe. One of my fitters in Perth, Australia — I found out he was taking our XCB which is a very popular club and actually grinding it down 20g. Every club head. I said, “What? How long does that take you to do?” He said he had to do it for his juniors. I said, “That’s nuts. Give me one of them and I’ll tool up for you.”
So I tooled it up and it’s called the LCB and it’s 20g lighter than the typical adult head. The beauty of it is, it’s perfect for juniors — and we have every loft in it — but it has also turned out to be a boon for those who are very petite or for seniors. A lot of senior ladies — they’re tired after going 18 holes and carrying a heavy club so this is ideal. They’re not going to be so tired and they’re going to enjoy the game more.
But that’s what we do. KZG is here to get you fit into the clubs that are ideal for your swing and ideal for your size, your strength, your budget and your goals. Let’s face it, it’s two different bags if you want to work hard and become the club champion or you just want to play a few rounds and have some fun. Totally different bags.
So we’re here and on our cast irons we can adjust the lie 3, 4 degrees so it will be perfect for you. Anyway, come to see us. We look forward to seeing you real soon.
