What are the best drivers for your Golf bag?
Hi there. My name is Jennifer King and I’m the owner of the KZG Performance Center. Today I’d like to go over some of the driver models that we offer to our golfers. Over here we have some of the models for the better golfer. This is designed for a competitive player. It’s a smaller head. They prefer a much smaller profile because it’s too much wind resistance and cuts down on their club head speed if they had a larger head. They also want the center of gravity to be high on the club head and they want a face that’s square to open and they want less spin off the face. That way they can get that nice low boring trajectory.
On the other end of the spectrum we offer the OS II. This is ideal for a beginner because most beginners can use an offset, which is this design. The face is slightly closed; that way you can square it up at impact. The CG is low on the club head to help you get the ball launched in the air and we have it in lofts as high as 16 degrees. So that really gets you a great start in the game of golf. Even if you’re a mid to high handicap player, believe me you’ll love the OS II.
Then we have another great club for those who want a very forgiving club. This is the Q and it literally has the highest MOI. That’s the moment of inertia and basically what it says is if you hit it out at the toe or at the heel, the club is going to be stable. It’s not going to move around so it’s more forgiving for you. This is the highest MOI driver on the market today and a big seller here.
Also in our selection of drivers we have the GF Deep and the GF X. The GF X drivers — the GF X and the GF Deep — are designed with great universal appeal. Both offer two screw ports so that we can alter the CG in the head — the swing weight — and we could also even compensate for a fade or a draw.
On the Deep — you’ll see it here; I should hold it this way for you — this is designed for those golfers that hit high or low. The standard one — the GF X — is designed for those who mishit on either the toe or the heel and it’s very, very forgiving clubs but they’re uniquely different and they’re for different types of golfers.
The GF 2 is again, for a better player, a slightly smaller profile and this one has four weight ports. We can literally move 48 grams of weight around this club head. So if you have a perpetual slice or if you have some unique needs we can alter this club in every way for your particular swing.
Notice none of our models have that adjustable hosel. The reason is the adjustable hosel — every time you adjust the loft or the lie or the face angle, you also adjust the other two measurements and you sometimes get some very unusual specifications. Frankly, those of us in the industry who really care about you getting your swing in the groove, the last thing we want is that you to be able to change the specs of your club every time you mishit the ball. So we stay away from the adjustable hosels. You can ask your teachers; most teachers will admit they’re the worst thing in the world if you’re trying to get your game improved.
Anyway, that’s just a little bit about our drivers and we have lots more. I hope you come and see us. We’re on Cook Street; 42829 Cook Street, in the heart of Palm Desert. See you soon.
